Heavy Metal Poisoning – Lifestyle – The Red Brick Cafe

metal poisoningIs Heavy Metal Poisoning the new catch-all term for anything and everything that ails us?  Am I the only one that notices all of the detox ads to ‘cleanse’ your system?  Once again the ‘health conscious’ are all over this.  What they choose not to inform the general public of is, that even during your cleanse, you are still poisoning your body everyday keeping up with society’s expectations.  How many people stop using all commercially produced products while on the cleanse?  Is it even suggested?

This goes for all of the ‘diets’ outlow fat there as well.  So you want to get healthy by eating low-fat this or 0% that?  Have you looked at what the natural fats are replaced with?  There is a definite difference between dieting and changing your eating plan and the way you approach food.  Could people survive on their own if the grocery stores were suddenly unavailable?  Would your system be able to survive on real, full fat foods?

What is heavy metal poisoning anyway?
Heavy metal poisoning is the accumulation of heavy metals, in toxic amounts, in the soft tissues of the body. Symptoms and physical findings associated with it vary according to the metal accumulated.  Anyway you look at it, it is a very vague definition. When all is said and done, what it comes down to, is it is time to step up and take responsibility for yourself and what you are putting in your body.  We can no longer rely on ‘the powers that be’ to look out for our best interests.

Until next time….stay aware and stay smart!
